Starigrad, which is the center of Paklenica riviera has around 2.000 inhabitants, and in the summer is a popular destination for tourists who want to enjoy the crystal clear sea and natural beauty. The vicinity of famous Paklenica National Park makes this destination especially attractive to nature fans who prefer active holidays, hiking and mountain climbing. They will also enjoy an excellent cycling infrastucture which allows you to see the countryside from a different perspective.

You can get acquainted with the local tradition if you decide to visit Veliko Rujno where you can find restored traditional Dalmatian stone houses, and on the road towards it you can see Mirila, funeral memorials authentic to Velebit area. You can take a swim on a unique beach Kulina situated next to an old fort Večka kula, the remains of the ancient town Argyruntum.

You can visit us in the periods when there are organized events in Starigrad, like the meeting of Winnetouu movie fans, sport events in Paklenica or local festivities in the open.

From Starigrad you can go on a one day boat trip to the magnificent canyon of the river Zrmanja or on a jeep safari to Velebit mountain. We definitely recommend a visit to the nearby cities Zadar, Nin, Šibenik, Trogir or Split, as well as islands Pag, Ugljan or Pašman and national parks Kornati, Krka or Plitvice Lakes.
